Thank you Pakistan Ambassador
5 March was a wonderful day for the Pakistani people working in Bahrain. The new Pakistan Ambassador had honored the Pakistanis by coming to the Pakistan Community Club. It was the occasion when a Pakistani Ambassador visited the community after many years. The Ambassador who recently went from here to Cyprus did not like to visit the general community except for his own made a small PML-Q. His performance was that the local Bahraini newspapers first time ever gave news with bright bold lines that there was a wide gap between Pakistani community and their Embassy. Such a gap between Pakistani Embassies and Pakistan all over the world is not new. But it was new in Bahrain. Last week Pakistani Ambassador in Japan going back to Islamabad admitted that had been differences between him and some members of the community. As such differences are always on money matters when honest Pakistani become walls. Same happened in Bahrain when some people stood as wall against attempt to get them spent on purchase of air conditioned buses etc. Our new Pakistani Ambassador not paying any ears to the local PML-Q Mukkam Group honored the community and the club. More than a thousand people from businessmen to labor attended the dinner hosted in his honor. All Pakistani associations, entertainment group Al Saqfa, Baloch club, Pashtun association all gathered in the federal Pakistan club. In as much as that the Deputy Head of Mission and Community Attache who as part of team of previous Ambassador never came, also this time had to come came. As this dinner was going on, the Pakistani T.V channel was showing two horses from PML-Q in Pakistan joining PPP on the ground of “their principle stand”. If someone was not present it was the new Member Overseas Pakistanis Council recently appointed by Overseas Pakistanis Foundation. He being a top businessman and a rich person did not like to come and sit with dirty ordinary people. The previous Council member and Chairman Pakistan Club who too are top businessmen and who most of the time remain abroad shortening their trips did come to welcome the Ambassador. I wish this spirit remains which was absent during the last 3 years. Will O.P.F look if it replaces its wrong choiced Member with one whom ordinary Pakistani could easily contact and reach him.
