   Fighting Spam

18 Feb 2008 04:53:04

There are a few ways companies can protect themselves from spammers and protect their client's identities. Since anti-spamming laws now protect the rights of companies and individuals from harassment, it is much easier to find and sue a person who hacks into a company's database and steals important client information. Using this information is a crime and could result in heavy fines and jail time. Companies have to protect their client's personal information in order to remain loyal and competent. Many companies have highly technical spam blockers and firewalls that can assist in keeping spammers out.

While spam blockers are used mostly by individuals, companies who need to protect clients will use them for their office computers. Some companies that may want to launch an ad campaign may have problems because of spam blockers. Since they are better are detecting spam, these filters are not allowing companies to send email to clients. This can be a big problem, but if a company words their email correctly, they should reach their customers.

Companies that use blogs are also fighting against spammers by deleting content on their sites that is not appropriate. This is becoming a bigger problem, but is also causing spammers to create blogs for the sole purpose of selling products. When people stop visiting these sites, these blogs will disappear. A good spam blocker can be used to keep invitations to these blog sites out of a person's email. Both companies and individuals can help stop spammers by using spam blockers and other software to deny email and other correspondence. Eventually, spammers will have to find new ways to get to the general public. They will try everything they can to get passed a filter and deliver email to people who have not requested it. This is why laws have been put into place that will hopefully decrease traffic for everyone.
