Internet Marketers on a Tight Budget part 5 (free traffic through Press Release)

The power of the media has been overlooked by many internet marketers, in fact, that is good news for you because if you want to beat the competition and make an effective launch for your product, you must do a press release.

All of that blank space on the newspapers before they are printed and all of that dead air on the radio and television before it is filled...some of that "space" and "dead air" can be yours.

Filling up that space from day to day is a big responsibility for the news people. Each and every day they are looking for news worthy information to put on the air. Remember EACH AND EVERY DAY. That is a lot of blank space, black advertising space...blank traffic producing space

People get news from many sources, but the main two are still the newspaper and radio. And fortunately for you, these two sources are underused by competing internet marketers. They are actually pretty darn good traffic generating vehicles that you could use for your online business to promote your products to a wider audience.

The media can help you more than you realize and can provide free advertising space for you, which results in free website traffic. So this is what you do.

1. Email your local newspaper or radio station 2. Introduce yourself and what your product is about (benefits, cost, etc...) 3. And ask them for permission to run a press release on the product 4. Leave your contact information

And lastly, remember when you write your press release for a newspaper, make it look like regular newspaper article.
