Manufacturing trend-setting phones has been a tradition with this Finnish giant, Nokia. Catering to the need of and satisfying users of all kinds, the manufacturer has inundated the world market with a wide variety of clamshells, candybars and sliders. Nokia, being the world's largest producers of mobiles, brings to the market mobiles with varied hues and features.

Take Nokia 6300 for instance, which is specifically meant for the executives. The highly attractive stainless steel casing gives it a sophisticated ad classy feel. Comparing it with 5300, one can say that this music phone has not much commonality with the 6300. Targeting differently inclined users, both these phones are amongst the very best in their categories.

The 2 inch 16.7 million colour TFT QVGA screen of the Nokia 6300 delivers a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The lucid display almost brings to lo life all your backgrounds and pictures. The 2 megapixel camera with 8 x digital zoom fully satisfies your passion for photography. The other important features that help in completing the package include stereo FM radio, embedded Java games, a music player, EDGE, USB, GPRS and an XHTML Browser.

The Nokia 5300 on the other hand is a musically inclined phone that comes with a 2 Inch screen which provides up to 262k colours on a QVGA TFT display. The camera at 1.3 megapixels is of a lower resolution than the Nokia 6300, but clicks good enough pictures and records videos as well. It also contains all the standard features that one would find in the Nokia 6300, such as Bluetooth, USB connection and an HTML browser.

Barring few things, these two handsets do not share much, be it the looks and appearance or the specifications. Meant for a completely different target audience, rest assured, they don't compete with one another. Maintaining their differences, both the Nokia 5300 and Nokia 6300 reign in the categories they belong to.
