Planning the Perfect Day for the Kids on Long Island by Laura
Rupert - Long Island Exchange
Long Island is a wonderful place where children can find a
number of things to do that are entertaining and fun for the
whole family. If one is interested in planning a whole days
worth of activities that will delight children of all ages, then
Long Island is the place to do so. The following paragraphs will
highlight a different spot in various areas on Long Island which
cater to children.
Central Suffolk
In the Central Suff
olk area, there is a great spot where children of all ages
can engage in fun activities until their heart's content which
is Boomers. There are a number of activities available to those
who come inside Boomers, which is located on Long Island Avenue
in Medfo
rd. Things such as bumper boats, miniature golf, kiddie
rides, game room, go karts and batting cages are just a few
activities which delight kids on a daily basis. Parents who take
their children to Boomers can rest assured knowing that everyone
will have a great time.
North Shore Region
The North Shore region also provides a number of establishments
which cater to children. One in particular which parents may
find to be the perfect place to bring the little ones is Fun 4
All. This entertaining spot is located in Port Jefferson Station and is a ½ acre indoor fun
park. Fun 4 All provides a number of activities for children
ages 1 through 15 including slides, towers, treehouses and a
basketball court, just to name a few. This is a wonderful area
where parents can watch their children play and have a fantastic
time. The admission fees are also quite reasonable and are $8.99
for children 2-15 and ½ price for those little ones who are 1
year old and younger.
South Shore Region
For the families out there who are closer to the South Shore
region, one fun family spot to take a trip to is Adventureland.
This great park, located in F
armingdale, is one which has both indoor and outdoor
amusements that operate accordingly depending upon the season.
Some of the various rides that are part of Adventureland include
a haunted house, roller coasters, swings, bumper cars and
merry-go-round plus many, many more. Adventureland offers two
payment options which are single ticket purchase or pay one
price options. There are also a variety of snacks and food that
are available when the little ones need a bite to eat in between
rides.
Long Island has so much to offer children in the way of
activities and they will surely not be bored when it comes to
entertainment options.
