Gravedigger is an awesome Monster truck but have you tried the popular "Gravedigger" beer drinking party game?
Can you be the last man or woman standing? Are you the ultimate "Gravedigger?" To win the title, you must bury a few of your beer-drinking buddies first.
You'll need several decks of playing cards, 6 or more players and, of course, beer.
(Caution: You must be of legal drinking age to consume beer or any alcoholic beverage.)
The Play:
This is a game of elimination; it is best played with lots of drinking-age players. Six is good, but 12 players are much more fun.
Each player needs a deck of everyday playing cards. The cards are shuffled and then each deck is passed to the player on the left. The decks are set facedown in front of each player.
In addition, each player must have both an empty beer mug and a beer in front of him or her.
Play begins with each player turning over the top card from his or her deck.
The Cards:
SPADES: This is the elimination suit; the "sudden death" cards. Spades, no matter what their value, take precedence over ANY other card flipped over. In the round, the player with the HIGHEST spade is eliminated (sent to the grave), except when the Ace of Spades is turned up.
When a player flips the Ace of Spades, he or she is also eliminated, but doesn't go to the grave dry. The player must first chug an entire mug of beer.
(Spades always take precedence even during a tie play-off.)
OTHER SUITS: If no Spades are turned over during the round, then the player, who turned over the LOWEST card of ANY suit, goes to the grave.
In addition, when no Spades are turned over, the player, who flipped over the HIGHEST card in ANY suit, becomes the "Gravedigger." He or she chooses two other players who must face off in a speed drinking game.
The two players must both fill and drain their beer glasses. The slowest drinker is eliminated; the fastest drinker escapes the grave, remains in the game and is exempt from any card he or she turns up in the next round.
A Tie
If two or more HIGH cards with matching values are turned up in the same round, the players involved must play-off and flip over a new card.
The player with the HIGHEST card (not a Spade - see above rules) becomes the new "Gravedigger," and follows the Gravedigger rules.
If two or more LOW cards with matching values are turned up, all players involved must go to the grave and are eliminated from the game. There is NO play-off. And they go to the grave, dry!
Game End
The winner is the last man or woman standing, the ultimate "Gravedigger."
But don't stop there, re-shuffle the cards, call back the eliminated players and play again. Just don't run out of beer.
This is a great game to play with a group of friends. Not only can you get smashed you will also laugh until you cry! Happy drinking!
