There has been a lot of talk about how digital camera will slowly extinct to make way for camera phones with equal if not higher specs. No one can beat the convenience of a camera phone over digital camera because of its simplicity and compactness. Moreover, there is one thing less to carry for the user. The N series member - the Nokia N93i represents the gradual evolution of camera phone into full fledged digital camera.

The Nokia N93i is quite a bulky phone but many a times compact than a digital camcorder. The handset features a unique 16 million coloured, twist and rotate TFT display that can be opened in four different position. All necessary information can be viewed without opening the Nokia N93i through its second 65K colors OLED display.

The main feature of the Nokia N93i is its high grade camera. Powered with lens superbly crafted by Carl Zeiss, the integrated 3.2 megapixel camera of the Nokia N93i can give any digital camera a run for its money. High resolution imagery gets even sharper with advanced imaging features like autofocus, optical zoom and LED flash. But the uniqueness of the Nokia N93i is not its still photography but its DVD like video shooting capabilities. The Nokia N93i can record videos in MPEG4 format at 30 frames per second for about 90 minutes.

Apart from superior imaging, the Nokia N93i is a master in voice and data connectivity. This triband GSM handset supports video telephony across UMTS (3G) networks. Class 32 EDGE and GPRS maybe slower than 3G but nevertheless can achieve download speeds of up to 236.8 kbps. The handset supports HSCSD and WiFi as well. You can connect with any compatible external device with the help of Bluetooth, Infrared and USB. This Symbian operated smartphone also includes UpnP technology and Java MIDP 2.0 to keep you ahead in these time of cut-throat competition.
