Motorola L7: Impressive from the word 'Go'

24 Feb 2008 12:33:15
| Ben Bradle

The Motorola SLVR L7 was developed together with the highly successful RAZR. The handset is a strong addition to the Motorola's slim phones. The phone was codenamed 'Royal blade' by its manufacturers because of obvious reason - its slimness. The candy-bar phone is mere 11.5 mm thick.

The design of the Motorola L7 exudes simple sophistication. A few colour solution is available, each have perfectly blended to the design aesthetics of the mobile phone. Much of the front is shared by the large TFT display that delivers more than 256 colours and a sleek metallic keypad which is stylish and functional at the same time.

Considering the dimension of the Motorola L7, the number features it managed to include is fascinating. The Motorola features SCREEN3 technology - click-less access to your favorites in news, sports and entertainment. You can host conference calls through its speaker-phone on the go. Use the Motorola L7 like a Walkie Talkie to be in constant touch with your team by its Push to Talk technology.

The integrated VGA camera of the Motorola L7 is a bit of a let down compared to all other premium features. However, you get decent pictures with resolution up to 640x480 pixels. Moreover, the camera is also capable of video recording just like your camcorder. The handset has a media player to play your favourite tunes and videos in popular formats. Other than the 5Mb of internal memory, the device also has an external memory slot which was missed in its clamshell counterpart - the Motorola RAZR.

The Motorola L7 supports quad band GSM network and switches band automatically. No matter which corner of the globe you're in, the Motorola SLVR L7 gives you the most clear network reception. The WAP 2.0/xHTML browser gives you the most convenient surfing experience. Bluetooth and USB connectivity is just another aspect of this powerful device.

The Motorola L7 have managed to strike the right balance between style and functionality.
