   Tips For Creating eZine Content

23 Feb 2008 03:21:11
| John Gatens

If you publish your own eZine or newsletter then creating fresh content can be a major headache, but absolutely crucial for the success of your Online Business.

Whatever topic you are focusing on, the main options available to you are :

Interviews With Experts - The person you are interviewing supplies the content, sometimes for free in return for more exposure. However you may feel obliged to reciprocate with something of value.

Hire A Ghostwriter - This is likely to be expensive. Run a search in Google and you will be presented with lots of choices - and fees.

Public Domain - This is content which is not protected by US copyright law such as articles, books and reports, and in some cases this includes works published up until 1978.

The last option is writing you own eZine content. This is the best method to employ and it can be much easier than you might imagine. You should perhaps begin by writing short informative articles, maybe around 300 words or so. Once you have actually written one then more ideas will come to you for more.

Begin with a good headline - How To, 10 Tips, 5 Proven Ways, etc. These are good headlines that get attention and answer questions your readers may have.

Select your keywords - Run your keywords through Yahoo's keyword selector tool to establish that searches are being done for your keywords or phrase. Make sure your keyword appears in your headline and the body of your article.

Include a resource box - Write a short bio about yourself or your site and include a link back to your site. Invite your subscribers to re-print your article on their site if they wish, so long as they include the resource box with your link. You will be surprised how many actually do this, after all we are talking about how difficult it is to find fresh Newsletter, Website or eZine content.
