Have you ever heard of the name Alex Tew? Now if you have any kind of interest in the world wide web I am sure you will have answerered yes to this question and for people who haven't Alex is the guy who made one million dollars by selling pixels on his website. The original idea was to make enough money to pay for his university fees and I am fairly sure that he did not ever believe that he would sell all of the pixels, but of course he did. Well anyway Alex is back with a new venture of which I will write about in this article.
I stumbled across this new venture when I was showing a friend of mine the original site Alex had, the milliondollarhomepage. My friend had not heard of Alex and was interested in learning more about him. Whilst reading his blog we both noticed that he had started something new. It is on the same type of theme of selling pixels but with an added twist to the people who visit the site. It is called pixelotto and it gives people who visit the site a chance to play a free form of lottery game.
This was quite interesting a concept and Alex has stated that after twelve months or once all of the pixels have been sold(whichever comes first) that he will then randomly pick the lotto winner who could win up to one million dollars.
Each day you are allowed to have ten attempts at clicking on the winning pixel. You are allowed to play each and every day.
People who purchase the advertising space are gaining more and more traffic as when people click on the pixel that they have bought it then directs them to their site.
This is yet another great idea by Alex or his mentors and the fact that people can play this lotto every day will ensure that visitors will return time and time again. This is something that most webmasters are striving for.
It is likely to be money well spent for the people who purchase the pixels, however you are unable to be a player and an advertiser, therefore I think I will stick to playing.
