Housing preservation grants are a great boost for your
personnel development by helping you to repair your house. These
top government grants will also help with economic and community
development. They do so by funding nonprofits to repair income
controlled housing.
Just as it did this week in Fairfax County. They received 2.5
million dollars for their community to help create jobs and
repair housing. Their plan for a majority of this money will be
to preserve rent controlled apartments.
In just 18 months, they have helped preserve nearly 600
rent-controlled apartments, condominiums and town houses as part
of the county board’s goal of saving 1,000 units during its
four-year term. That is a lot of good news for the community.
This housing preservation grants is to assist very low- and
low-income rural residents individual homeowners. It also helps
rental property owners of single and multi-units or co-ops.
These objectives will be accomplished through the establishment
of repair/rehabilitation projects ran by eligible applicants.
This program is intended to make use of and leverage any other
available housing programs which provide resources to very low
and low-income rural residents to bring their dwellings up to
development standards.
