This is just a short summary of what I've learned from Brett McFall in WIMS 2007.
There's no shortcut to getting more traffic if you're looking for those free traffic. You've got to build them.
Here's just 5 ways you can do it:
* Write Good Content
Good content is unique and/or specific enough to appeal to people. More specifically, it needs to be useful to the people you want to find your site.
* Write Fresh Content
You need to add new content so that search engines robots will notice that you update regularly, which means that any new content you add will be indexed quicker.
* Don't Waste Your Time On Meta Tags
Meta tags have been abused by spammers so they don't really place much of an importance in these days.
* Write Descriptive Page Titles
Title is important for people to search for the information they need. So this makes it very valuable and search engines results will also show your title so make them as relevant as possible.
* Think About Your Spelling
Be aware of the differences in different types of english such as British and American english. Misspelled words are also a no no since you are running a professional business unless intentionally intended for the audience.
