After corresponding via emails and internet messengers, and when you find that the partner is suitable you may want to set a date, time and venue to meet up. Before meeting up, these are some of the important things to do beforehand:

1. Exchange phone numbers If both parties are comfortable, then you may proceed with this. For cases where this doesn't work out, provide very clear details on the location to meet up.

2. Distinctive Identity Provide the other party on what you are wearing and an idea of how you look like. Try putting on something distinctive.

3. Place to meet It is advisable to choose public places or restaurants. If things doesn't out well, you would normally be able to exit safely in such places.

Here's some tips when meeting up:

1. Relax and be yourself. You should feel more relieve to know that your date can also be as nervous as you are, so be relax and take it naturally when it comes along, go with the flow

2. Keep things simple. Don't clog your mind with too many 'scripts' to say. You may bring up some of the interesting topics that you have chat over the IM or emails.

3. Enjoy the presence. You may be surprise that maintaining short period of silence in such situation can be romantic. Enjoy the music that is playing in the background and the beingness of your date.

Some safety tips:

1. Try not to reveal too much information about yourself

2. For your first date, you may choose not to be escorted home

3. If its an evening date, try to avoid late nights

What if it turns out to be an unsuitable date? But it is important to respect the other party's presence even he or she doesn't appeal to you at first sight. Try to give him or her a chance to express themselves. If you really need to leave, exit gracefully. Its alright can't establish good connection with your date because you will still be receiving emails from the dating service and one could very well be your the lady of your choice.
