Here's an example: Joe visits John's website on iPods. John has an affiliate link to and iPod software download site on his website. Joe clicks this link and subscribes to the site. John gets XX$ for Joe's sign-up.

In other terms, you are paid to find clients for other people.

How do I start affiliate marketing? You can do it numerous ways. I suggest, if you do not already have a website or a blog, to make one. A blog is free to start up and you can talk about what ever you want. Next step is getting some affiliate links. You can get these at sites like Clickbank or Consumption Junction where I suggest you sign-up. Once you've got the affiliate links, just post them on your site and you are in business.

What do you mean by selling digital products? Well, you must know a little about different domains. Per example I love chinchillas. Well, I wrote a little ebook (book in word, pdf or any other format readable on a computer) on how to take care of these animals. I have been selling quite a few to people in different forums and off of ebay. You can also just simply sell it off your own website. The important thing, is to write about something you know about and are credible in and give good advice and information. If you don't you will be caught up in refunding everyone that isn't satisfied with your product.
